Janie Imperial comes to North Carolina after ten years of performing extensively throughout the U.S. Virgin Islands. While living on St. Thomas, she appeared as a soloist with the Puerto Rico Symphony Chamber Orchestra and several regional ensembles. A love for the music of Broadway led Janie to perform in the islands' resorts. She also served as the soprano soloist for the St. Thomas Reformed Church. A Celtic harp enthusiast, she has played for numerous weddings and celebrations.
Since moving to the Triangle, Janie has sung with the Long Leaf Opera Company, The Opera Company of North Carolina, Duke University's Opera program, The Duke Classic Children's Charity Fundraiser, and at Duke Chapel.
Janie is the soloist for St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and teaches voice and piano for Szymanski Studios in Chapel Hill.
